Every line counted

Building quotes, checked line by line.

Quotally goes through a building quotation the way a good QS would — item by item, rate by rate — and tells you in plain English what's fair, what's high, and what's missing.

Who it's for

One quote. Two sides. Same number.

A quote only works when both sides trust it. Quotally is the independent middle — no agenda, just the arithmetic.

For builders

Price right. Win the job. Protect the margin.

Sense-check your quote before it goes out. We flag where you're underpricing labour, where materials have moved, and where a missing line will bite you mid-job.

For homeowners

Pay fair. Ask the right questions. Sleep at night.

Got a quote that feels like a lot? We break it down item by item against typical rates, so you know exactly what to query — and what's actually a fair price.

The report

A verdict you can hand across the table

Every Quotally report ends in one clear page: what's fair, what to query, and what it should roughly cost. Builders attach it to win trust. Homeowners use it to negotiate.

Questions

Asked a lot. Answered straight.

Are you on the builder's side or the homeowner's?

Neither — that's the point. We check the numbers against typical rates and current materials pricing. A fair quote comes back looking fair, whoever sent it to us. Plenty of builders use the same check homeowners do.

What format does my quote need to be in?

PDF, photo, email, spreadsheet — whatever you've got. If a quote is so vague we can't break it into lines, that itself goes in the report, because vague quotes are where disputes start.

How do you know what things should cost?

We benchmark each line against typical trade and labour rates for the job type and region, plus current merchant pricing for materials. Where a line could legitimately vary, we say so and give a range rather than a false precision.

Is this a survey or a legal opinion?

No — it's a pricing and scope check on the document itself. We don't visit site and we're not a substitute for a structural survey or legal advice. We tell you whether the numbers and the scope stack up on paper.

How fast is it?

Reports land within 24 hours, usually same day. If you're sitting across the table from a builder tomorrow, get it to us today.
